Kevin is the co-founder and CEO of Sagacify, with a mission to help companies to transition to new business models enabled by this AI industrial revolution. After his PhD in Machine Learning at Université Catholique de Louvain (UCL) in 2014, he co-founded Sagacify, convinced that artificial intelligence was going to be a tremendous drive of changes in the industry where mundane and repetitive tasks humans have to take care of today will be safely delegated to machines, leaving us with more time to innovate, create and enjoy our lives.
Sagacify can now proudly count on a team of 15 passionate AI experts, successfully developing the most ambitious self-learning projects involving natural language understanding or computer vision for forward looking companies.
Through his involvement in
- education initiatives (i.e. AI black belt trainer, AI Conferences and deep learning classes given in various Belgian universities),
- academic partnerships (i.e. master thesis supervisor for a couple of students per year, student interns for internal R&D, …) and
- AI for good initiatives (i.e. Sagacify is helping an NGO detect cases of tuberculosis in Africa through satellite image analysis, helping medical teams to select priority areas for future screening missions),
Kevin is greatly involved into the evangelisation of a positive AI in Belgium.
While many are saying that Belgium is lagging behind in Europe and the rest of the world in terms of AI adoption, he believes that it’s not too late. The Belgian AI community is growing at a very fast pace and together, we can help Belgian’s companies becoming AI ready.
